"A haunting scene of a life that once was.  This is on a private ranch in Central New Mexico.  I tried numerous times to photograph this scene.  I always envisioned it as a sunset.  The evening I was there, the light didn’t work out once again for the sunset shot.  When I calculated the hour that the Galactic Center would be in this location, there was no question I had to wait.  It was well worth it."
