Night Heron Sunrise

"The Rio Grande Riparian ecosystem is filled with life. There's never a time that you won’t run into a unique sight. One morning I stumbled upon some Black-Crowned Night Herons, but I couldn’t quite get close enough to capture a great image of them. For three mornings straight I went back to the same part of the bosque, and there they were, but they would fly away before I could pull out my camera and take a photo. Finally, on the fourth day, I was able to sneak up on them on a foggy summer morning, set up my tripod, and take a photo of this trio of elusive Night Herons. They were worth the effort."
