Death Valley National Park, California/Nevada
"Other-worldly blue and purple hills in Death Valley National Park come to life during blue hour. Walking around this spot truly felt like another planet, and is one of the reasons why Death Valley is my favorite national park I have been to. These colors are caused by the oxidation of different metals (iron compounds produce red, pink and yellow, decomposition of tuff-derived mica produces green, and manganese produces purple)."
