Taos Pueblo, New Mexico
"A sacred exterior door is complemented by a ladder leaning against Indian adobe. Taos Pueblo is an ancient pueblo belonging to a Taos (Northern Tiwa) speaking Native American tribe of people. Taos Pueblo's most prominent architectural feature is a multi-storied residential complex of reddish-brown adobe divided into two parts. According to the site, it is said that it was built between 1000 and 1450 A.D. There are 150 Native Americans that live within the Pueblo full time."
